Telehealth “the doctor in the house”
Telehealth is making its way as a form of medical assistance and thus avoiding unnecessary trips, saving time and above all, in these times, avoiding contagion in care centres.
In a high percentage of our visits to a primary care doctor or a specialist, there is no physical contact as a method of diagnostic, that is why digital medicine is already being used in many countries and already several insurance companies in Spain are betting on this new way of understanding medical care.
With the COVID-19 confinement, the need to use this digital or remote medicine has increased, experiences such as the APP of DKV ” Quiero Cuidarme +”, that the insurance company offers free of charge to all people who want to download it, are a sample of this.
DKV “Telehealth with Guarantees”
As a DKV client you can access the medical chat from the website ‘Quiero cuidarme Más’ and through the application, where you have, in addition to a health folder where your medical information is stored, the possibility to request appointments online or chat with a coach about health habits or with a digital midwife about pregnancy, baby care and physical and psychological recovery.
DKV uses a specific telehealth platform to avoid security problems as it is confidential data.
In addition, doctors, through the APP or WEB, will be able to write prescriptions through the REMPE system (approved by the WHO) or soon, ask for analytical exams. For their part, the client will receive the prescription conveniently in the health folder of the «Quiero cuidarme Más» app.
BLUA “Sanitas Digital Insurance”
Video consultation is seen as a great advance in the health sector, since it allows to eliminate the space and time barriers between the doctor and the patient in a society where the latter is more and more digital and has less time for health care: 61% of the people surveyed do not go to the doctor’s office for this reason.
In this context, back in 2016, Sanitas proposed to go one step further in the service and care, by presenting their customers the creation of BLUA, it was the first digital health insurance that allows patients to be easily connected with their doctors and make video consultations through their mobile phones. In addition, patients have the possibility of performing home tests or request the delivery of medicines directly from the pharmacy. They also have the services of a personal trainer or a nutritionist. And all of this can be done via the smartphone.
ADESLAS “New Medical Video Consultation”
The company Adeslas also joins the telehealth era, through its website customers can consult the doctors who perform this service and request their digital appointment.
Don’t stop going to the doctor for lack of time.
