Health insurance & Covid-19 tests
We’re about to enter the Christmas Holidays and many of us are going to meet again with our families and loved ones in these strange times of the Pandemic that we have to live through.
We are all so concerned for our elders and would like to be sure that we are not carriers of the virus before we get together for the Christmas celebrations.
With this Blog we want to inform you about the tests, for the detection of Covid 19, which are covered by the most important Private Health Insurance companies.
Adeslas
Adeslas provides coverage for both the PCR test and the rapid antigen test, if prescribed by a company doctor, when we show symptoms compatible with the disease.
And in any case, Adeslas policyholders may take these tests at reduced prices at the designated centers for these purposes.
And following the current recommendations, these tests will be covered before carrying out certain tests and surgical interventions.
DKV
DKV, until December 31, will provide coverage for the rapid antigen test if prescribed by a doctor, the method of requesting it is through the ‘Quiero cuidarme más’ App, a medical video consultation will be opened and if said professional prescribes it for you they will send a voucher through the App and a search engine for medical centers where it can be done.
The PCR test will also be covered if it is prescribed by a doctor, once you have the prescription you can request it comfortably by WhatsApp.
Also, if you do not have symptoms and want to take these tests you can access them, with a reduced price, through the ‘Club de la salud’.
Sanitas
Sanitas offers its clients the possibility of taking 2 antigen tests, a rapid test to have the results the same day, every month, for now until April 2021.
These tests will be carried out in the concerted centers that the insurer has designated.
Also, if a surgical intervention or diagnostic test is required in the operating room, a PCR covered by Sanitas will be performed.
Despite the limitations imposed, the limited number of people in family gatherings, curfews and other restrictions that will mark this Christmas, let’s at least enjoy them as safely as we can for the good of all. Happy Holidays!
